OVERVIEW
Situated right next to the established prairie reconstruction, the Degraded Grassland is an obvious choice for ecosystem enhancement. The majority of the Grassland is invasive cool-season grasses, but native prairie plants have started creeping in either intentionally or through natural seed dispersal. One of the most vigorous volunteers has been Indian Grass, which strongly established itself along the southern edge of the Grassland.
