OVERVIEW

Once a high-quality woodland garden, the Woodland Patch was disrupted after storm winds took down the trees that shaded it. Canada Goldenrod and invasive grasses have crept in with the increased light levels, displacing delicate, shade-loving natives. Since shade will not return to the area for a few years, any native plant introductions will have to tolerate sun and shade.

Ecosystem Model: Oak-Hickory Forest, Oak Savanna
